October 28, 2017Kyle Anderson has reached the European Championship quarter-finals for a second consecutive year in Hasselt. The Team Unicorn star swept aside the challenge of Jelle Klaasen in style as he won 10-6 and he will now play Mensur Suljovic on Sunday afternoon. "My finishing was spot on when it mattered," the Aussie said. "Every time Jelle missed I punished him and I am getting better with each game here, so there is no reason why this run shouldn't continue." The tone was set when Klaasen missed

October 27, 2017Team Unicorn's Belgian brothers were both desperately disappointed after bowing out of the European Championship on the opening night. On home soil, Kim and Ronny Huybrechts both lost last leg deciders. But Unicorn duo Kyle Anderson and Ian White were winners on Thursday in Belgium. Kim Huybrechts went out 6-5 to Mensur Suljovic after hauling himself back into the match. The Austrian took out 94 and 76 as he went 3-0 up. Back came Kim to reduce the gap to one before Suljovic nailed

October 23, 2017Hi again! It’s been a while, but now seems like a good time for a new UniBlog to go with the new, sparkly, Unicorn Group website whose “PlayWithTheBest” title doubly resonates with me. Not only is helping players do just that my aim when designing a dart or recommending a set-up, but also, in my long-gone competitive racquet sport days, I was lucky to have had the chance to play with some of the best and most prodigiously talented individuals of the era. I thus had the perfect opportunity to observe

October 21, 2017It was good to see James Wade playing well and showing very encouraging signs for the future after a disappointing year. The Unicorn pair of Wade and Gary Anderson made it through to the quarter-finals of the German Darts Masters World Series tournament in Düsseldorf on Friday night. But Kyle Anderson was unlucky to lose a final leg decider with Mensur Suljovic. Wade took the first steps on his road back to the top with a brilliant performance against German qualifier Kevin Munch.

October 19, 2017The best walk on in darts will be gracing the stage at the Alexandra Palace once again, because Devon Petersen is back where he belongs - at the World Championship. Dancing Devon's spot has just been confirmed as he qualifies on merit for being the No.1 African darts player in the world. The Team Unicorn ace will return to the World Championship in December for a 5th time and he is guaranteed to make his mark at the Ally Pally. And it will be just reward for Petersen after a tough year. "2017

October 16, 2017It was another Euro Tour near miss for Belgian ace Kim Huybrechts in Germany on Sunday. The Team Unicorn man reached the semi-finals of the European Darts Trophy in Germany before losing 6-1 to Rob Cross. It will be very frustrating for Huybrechts, who had produced some scintillating darts on his way to the last four. He was superb in beating Peter Wright 6-3 in the last 16, despite a 110 average from his opponent. He then saw off Dave Chisnall 6-4 in the quarter-finals in one of the best

October 11, 2017When he needed it most, Unicorn ace Jamie Caven has produced the big performance on the big day. Caven launched an 11th hour bid to reach the Players Championship Finals in Minehead next month. At the 22nd and last Players Championship event of the year in Barnsley on Wednesday, Caven knew only a run to the semi-finals would book him a spot in Minehead. And that's exactly what he did! It was Caven's best result on the tour for 18 months. He may have lost in the semi-final 6-3 to James

October 10, 2017Take a bow Chris Dobey and Dimitri van den Bergh! The Team Unicorn pair have both qualified for next month's prestigious World Series Finals in Glasgow. For Dobey, it is a much needed confidence boost after what has been a disappointing 2017, and he had to do it the hard way after he was drawn to play in the preliminary round. But he beat Ron Meulenkamp 5-3 and then came some superb darts with Dobey recapturing his top form to win three last leg deciders to qualify! He saw off Vincent Kamphuis,

October 09, 2017Unicorn star Gary Anderson heads home to Glasgow next month bidding for World Series glory. The Scot, who missed the World Grand Prix as he was about to become a Dad again, is celebrating the birth of his daughter and he will be hoping to be celebrating in Scotland at the Braehead Arena from November 3-5. He has a poor record at the World Series Finals but will head to Glasgow in good spirits, especially after his superb wins in Dubai and Perth this year. By the way, Gary has kept his No.2 spot in
