It's hats off to Joe Cullen! The Team Unicorn ace has done it again, winning on the Pro Tour for the second time in three months.  And Cullen's rapid rise up the rankings continues. He is now up to No.21 in the world and chasing down a spot in the elite top 16. He is also up to 12th on the Pro Tour Order of Merit.  Cullen beat surprise finalist Zoran Lerchbacher 6-4 in the final of Players Championship 16 in Barnsley on Sunday....and it was an emotional day and victory for the Team Unicorn

Michael Smith is celebrating after winning a World Series debut! The Unicorn star will play in the World Series triple header Down Under next month. The field for the Auckland, Melbourne and Perth Darts Masters will be led by Unicorn ace Gary Anderson with James Wade also taking part.  Unfortunately Anderson and Wade both missed out in Shanghai......Michael van Gerwen defended his Shanghai crown as he swept aside Dave Chisnall 8-0 in the final.  Van Gerwen was 0-5 and 2-6 down to Phil Taylor

It was a breeze for Gary Anderson and James Wade as the Unicorn duo won convincingly on the opening night of the Shanghai Darts Masters.Anderson was again in irresistible form as he hunts back-to-back World Series titles. Gary Anderson is the top seed at the second big World Series tournament of 2017 in China. The Team Unicorn star will face Wei Hong Li in the 1st Round at the Shanghai Masters on Thursday. Wei Hong came third in the Chinese qualifying event which was held at the Pullman Hotel South on Wednesday afternoon. Anderson of course, is looking to make it back-to-back World Series titles after his brilliant win over Michael van Gerwen in Dubai in May. He could face Raymond van Barneveld in the quarter-finals.

It was a case of so near, yet so far for Michael Smith again on the European Tour. The Unicorn man, who has already won this year's Gibraltar Darts Trophy, was beaten in the semi-finals of the European Darts Open in Germany. He has also lost a final and reached the quarter-finals on the Euro Tour this year to guarantee that he will be one of the top seeds for the European Championship later this year. The tournament in Leverkusen was won by Peter Wright, who beat Mervyn King 6-2 in the final.
