Gary Anderson has completed brilliant back-to-back Players Championship victories. What a weekend for the Team Unicorn star as he followed up Saturday’s PC 3 win in Barnsley with another spectacular triumph at PC 4 on Sunday!
He saw off Jeffrey de Zwaan 6-2 in the final to make it three fabulous tournament wins in seven days! Of course, it all started with the UK Open success in Minehead.

On Saturday in Barnsley, the Scot played some incredible darts to win Players Championship 3, just six days after sweeping to victory at the UK Open. Of course, he’s also won a UK Open qualifier in 2018.
He really is playing some great stuff at the moment despite still being troubled by a longstanding back problem.
He whitewashed Peter Wright in the final to complete a memorable day.

Michael Smith threw away a fantastic opportunity as he was he beaten for the first time in this year’s Premier League.
He lost 7-5 to Rob Cross, while fellow Unicorn star Gary Anderson was glad to draw his match with Daryl Gurney.
Smith led 4-2 and 5-3 against the World Champion but went off the boil and Cross hit back superbly. At five legs apiece, Cross hit a maximum and an 11 darter. Then in the final leg, Smith was sat on 76 for a draw only to see Cross take out 121 on the bull.

The Unicorn star dug deep to see off young Australian sensation Corey Cadby 11-7 in a thrilling final.
“It was hard work but I am thrilled to win another Major. This is why we all play the sport,” he said. “Corey is a fantastic talent and we will be hearing a lot more from him over many years. But this was my day. I didn’t feel I was at my best although I found the big shots when I needed them.”

Gary Anderson and John Part will fly the Unicorn flag on the final day at the UK Open in Minehead.
Anderson will now face World Champion Rob Cross, while Part takes on Welshman Robert Owen.
Gary was in imperious form again as he dispatched Ricky Evans 10-3 with a 95 average and 5 maximums and he improved on that with a superb display to beat Jermaine Wattimena 10-6, averaging 105 with 9 x 180s.

Team Unicorn’s three times World Champion John Part produced three terrific performances on day one of the UK Open Finals.
And the Canadian will face Dutchman Ron Meulenkamp in the last 32.
The tournament was only given the go-ahead at the 11th hour because of the heavy snow and freezing conditions.
