Super League Basketball has named Cheshire Phoenix guard Patrick Robinson as the Molten Sixth Player of the Year for 2025/26, following votes from Head Coaches, Captains and media members.
The 26-year-old American shone in his debut Phoenix season, helping the club finish second in the Championship and reach semi-finals in both the Trophy and Cup competitions. Starting just twice in 28 Championship appearances, Robinson topped the SLB scoring charts with 20 points per game while also leading the league in two-point percentage at 60.8%. He has also already claimed Molten All-League Team of the Year honours this awards season.
Robinson described the award as "a true blessing," adding that embracing his bench role had been key to both his and the team's success, crediting Head Coach Ben Thomas for the tactical decision.
Thomas was full of praise for his player, saying the award was a well-deserved personal achievement and that Robinson's ability to change games from the bench had been central to Cheshire's strong season.
Voting was conducted on a points basis, with voters selecting their top three candidates - earning three, two and one point respectively - and Robinson accumulating the most points overall to claim the title.
