Gary Anderson peeled back the wrapping from his set of brand new Unicorn darts and it was business as usual on the Alexandra Stage.
He brushed aside the challenge of Canadian Jeff Smith in brutal fashion with a three sets to nil score-line, dropping only two legs and setting new records.
In the second set, the Team Unicorn star averaged an astonishing 131.93 which is the second highest set average in the history of the World Championship. Gary also holds the highest set average....132.61 in his semi-final

Dimitri van den Bergh lit up the Alexandra Palace on Friday night as he brushed aside Stephen Bunting to reach the 2nd Round at the World Championship.Â
Chris Dobey though missed out as he lost to Phil Taylor in a nail-biting clash.Â
But Van den Bergh was brilliant. A 104.17 average which turns out to be the highest ever average hit by a Belgian in a World Championship!Â
The 23-year-old was in sparkling form to set up a 2nd Round clash with either Jelle Klaasen or Jan Dekker next Friday.

Can Gary Anderson make it a hat-trick of World Championship crowns?
The Team Unicorn superstar is the sponsors second favourite as he bids to reach a fourth straight Alexandra Palace final and win the biggest prize in World Darts for a third time.Â
Anderson has been having treatment on the back injury he suffered six weeks ago and is ready to go and will start his campaign with a real tough test against either Canadian Jeff Smith or PDC Unicorn Development Tour winner Luke Humphries on Saturday

Two more top talents have joined darts' top team!
20-year-old Harry Ward and German/Swiss star Thomas Junghans are the latest men to sign for Team Unicorn.Â
Junghans is the Swiss No.1 while Ward is tipped for a bright future after a good year on the PDC Unicorn Development Tour.
The Swiss star is a former World Masters semi-finalist in 2015, losing to eventual winner Glen Durrant.. along the way Junghans beat the likes of Wesley Harms, Danny Noppert and Jamie Hughes.
