Jeffrey de Zwaan says he’s ‘feeling great’ after regaining his tour card ahead of the 2026 season.
The former World Matchplay Semi-Finalist sealed his return via EU Q-School, winning his card automatically on the final day of the event.
After a testing few years for the Black Cobra, he couldn’t hide his joy at returning to the Pro Tour:
“I’m feeling great, to be honest.
Getting my tour card back after a year off the tour - it’s an amazing feeling.”
That feeling is backed up by the confidence he comes into the season with – which he says trumps previous years:
“I think I do feel better than previous years, definitely.
To be honest, I didn’t do any practice last year – I was focusing on the recovery of my shoulder, and recovering mentally.
That’s what I was doing last year, so I’m now really confident coming into this year.
And you’ve seen already what happened – I’ve got my tour card back.”
That confidence translates into ambition, with the Black Cobra setting some lofty, but achievable, targets.
“I think, as always, qualifying for the World Championship is the main goal.
That is the main tournament that you want to compete in.
Maybe I can pick up some titles on the Players Championship circuit or even on the Euro Tour.
I’m really looking forward to the season, and trying to achieve those goals.”
He also revealed which of his stunning range of darts he’s been using to win his way back to the tour:
“The Codes - I’m using the Codes again.
There’s some slight grip at the end where it tapers, and that’s really what I like about them.”
