Jacob Bethell Signs Multi-Year Contract Extension With Gunn & Moore

From the beaches of Barbados to centuries in Southampton, Sydney and Mumbai, Jacob Bethell has spent his entire cricketing career with a Gunn & Moore in hand.

Starting with a size one Apex, through to the Maxi he scored his Ashes hundred in Sydney with, Bethell has made history along the way, becoming the youngest English player to score centuries in every format.

He now embarks on a new multi-year partnership which will include a bespoke range tailored to the left-hander, released later this year.

“My first bat was a size one Apex,” said Bethell.

“Gunn & Moore is an incredibly special brand.

“I loved using it as a kid and have had the privilege of playing with it for my whole professional career.

“It started back on a boat in Barbados with Peter Wright, making sure I remembered his email so I could get some kit sent over.

“I’ve progressed to working with Tom for the past four or five years and I love having someone to talk to about my equipment to be able to tinker with the little things.”

Thrust into the international arena at an early age, his century against South Africa at Southampton in September 2025 kickstarted a six-month period in which he would write his name into the history books.

Cementing his credentials at number three in the Three Lions’ Test team with an Ashes hundred in Sydney, a scintillating 48-ball 105 in the T20 World Cup semi-final against India completed the set.

“The Ashes knock in Sydney is definitely my favourite but the World Cup 100 is right up there,” said Bethell.

“Moving forward my goal is to win silverware for England and be a consistent performer and I’m excited to do that with a GM in hand.”

"Jacob has held a special place at Gunn & Moore ever since Peter met him in Barbados,” added Gunn & Moore Brand Manager Tom Coffey.

“From that point onwards we've always followed his progress closely, particularly through the EPP system at Warwickshire, in to the professional game, England U19's and now to full England honours.

“Each time that Jacob has made a step up, we've felt such a sense of pride in his achievement, and each time he's met the challenge head on and taken his game to the next level.

“We're delighted to continue our relationship for years to come and support Jacob in his ambitions to achieve even greater heights."
